Mr. Cheng, male, 59 years old, first consultation on March 14, 1989. Symptoms include initial vomiting and diarrhea, reversal cold limbs with hardly perceivable pulse, diarrhea with clear water, spasms. After using Vessel-Unblocking Cold-Extremities Decoction, diarrhea decreased, pulse became faint, but dysphoria and severe vomiting persisted, with reversal cold of hands and feet. This is due to exuberant yin and declined yang, with rising of turbid qi. Prescription:
Evodia 15g, Ginseng 10g, Fresh Ginger Rhizome 15g, Chinese Date 4 pieces
. After taking 2 doses, all symptoms decreased. Middle-Regulating Decoction was used with modifications for follow-up treatment.
