I decided to use the dampness-removing and heat-clearing method, prescribing Pulsatilla Decoction:
chinese pulsatilla root 15g, northern ash bark 12g, Sichuan Coptis Rhizome 9g, Phelloendron Bark 3g
. After one dose, the condition slightly improved. After two doses, the fever cleared and the mental state improved, with reduced pain and dysentery. Another dose led to a full recovery.
