A 76-year-old female sought medical attention on the morning of August 17, 1991. Chief complaints: fever and thirst. Upon waking, her body temperature was 38°C, with cold feet, headache, neck stiffness, grade I aversion to cold, but no cough, accompanied by thirst and sweating. Examination revealed a red face, pale red tongue texture, thin white tongue coating, floating and rapid pulse, and a soft abdomen with no abnormalities. Based on the symptoms, tongue and pulse conditions, and abdominal palpation findings, it was diagnosed as a Cinnamon Twig Two Spleen-Qi Effusing One Decoction syndrome.
