In the formula, Gypsum and Anemarrhena are used as the monarch to clear excess fire from the Yangming; Prepared Rehmannia Root is used as the minister to tonify the insufficient water of the Shaoyin; Ophiopogon Tuber, which enriches yin and produces fluid, is used as the assistant; Achyranthes Root is used as the envoy to guide heat downward and lead blood to descend, thereby reducing inflammatory emetic therapy and stopping the upward bleeding.
