This formula is derived from the Jingui Yaolue Kidney Qi Pill with modifications, and is used to treat syndromes caused by kidney yang deficiency, life gate fire decline, or fire failing to generate earth. In addition to cinnamon and aconite, the formula includes Cervi Deer-Horn Glue, Dodder Seed, and Eucommia Bark to enhance the warming yang and kidney-tonifying effects. It also adds Chinese Angelica and Barbary Wolfberry Fruit, combined with Prepared Rehmannia Root, Chinese Yam, and Asiatic Cornelian Cherry Fruit to strengthen the nourishing yin and blood effects.
