For night sweats, add 3-6 grams of Chinese Wolfberry Root-bark; for excessive phlegm and strong qi, add 6-9 grams of Fritillaria Bulb, 3-6 grams of Donkey-hide Gelatin, and Snakegourd Root can also be added; for dryness and cough due to the failure of metal and water to nourish each other, add 9-15 grams of Prepared Rehmannia Root; for profuse sweating and insomnia with restless spirit, add 6 grams of Zao Ren; for profuse sweating accompanied by thirst, add 14 grains of Northern Wuwei; for excessive heat, add 3-6 grams of Phellodendron Bark (stir-fried with salt water), or Scrophularia Root can also be used, but differentiate between upper and lower body usage; for blood dryness and delayed menstruation with scanty flow, add 6 grams of Achyranthes Root; for blood heat causing vomiting of blood or nosebleeds, add 6 grams of Qian Gen; for excessive fire and dry stools, or dry cough with phlegm from the lungs, add 6 grams of Asparagus Root, or add child's urine; for fire carrying blood upwards, remove Liquorice Root and add 3-6 grams of Gardenia.
