First, grind the red arsenic into fine particles and mix it with cottonseed oil in a large copper pot. Heat the mixture over a fire until the red arsenic turns a withered yellow color, then remove from heat and let it cool. Remove the dregs; then reheat, add yellow wax (250 gm in winter, 500 gm in summer) and melt it. Remove from heat and stir until it cools into an ointment. Apply a thin layer to the affected area. Before use, test a small patch to observe for any allergic reactions; discontinue use if any occur.
