Atractylodes 6-9 gm, Angelica 6 gm, Chinese yam 6 gm, roasted licorice 3 gm, jujube seed 4.5 gm, polygala 0.9-1.5 gm, prepared dried ginger 6-9 gm, lotus seeds (de-cored, stir-fried) 20 pieces, ginseng 3-6 gm, for urgent cases use 30 gm.

Decoct with 400 ml of water and take orally.

Spleen qi deficiency leads to an inability to control blood, resulting in bloody stools and women experiencing menorrhagia and metrostaxis.

If bleeding persists, add 2 Smoked Plums; for those who fear sourness, do not use Smoked Plum, add 4.5g of Sanguisorba instead; for uncontrollable discharge, add 3g of vinegar-fried Clam Shell; for severe deficiency of the lower energizer leading to uncontrollable discharge, add 6g of degelatined Deer-horn; for severe qi deficiency, add 6-9g of roasted Astragalus Root; for qi sinking and prolapse, add 1.5-2.1g of Cimicifuga Rhizome, or Dahurian Angelica can also be used; for accompanying sloppy diarrhea, add 3g of roasted Psoralea; for yang deficiency with fear of cold, add 6-9g of processed Aconite Lateral Root; for excessive blood loss, yin deficiency with dispirited qi, and restless heartbeat, add Prepared Rehmannia Root, 2.1-2.4g for mild cases, and 30-60g for severe cases.
