This formula is derived from the Waike Zhengzong Wind-Dispersing Powder with modifications. Unprocessed Rehmannia Root, Chinese Angelica, and Liquorice Root cool the blood and moisten dryness; Anemarrhena and Gypsum clear muscle heat; Schizonepeta and cicada slough dispel wind; Sophora and Puncturevine Caltrop Fruit dispel wind and relieve itching. It is suitable for conditions of blood heat generating wind and wind-dryness, with a red tongue texture and a wiry, slippery, and rapid pulse. For treating pityriasis rosea, Arnebia can be added to cool the blood and clear heat; for artificial urticaria, Arnebia and Peach Kernel can be added.
