bubble_chart Composition 500 gm of rosin (melted in a pot, poured into water for a while, then kneaded white and used), 180 gm of castor beans (cleaned), 60 gm of pine tar, 60 gm of white wax, 60 gm each of rhubarb and cinnabar, 60 gm of left-facing oyster shells (wrapped in coarse grass and simmered in fire, preserving their properties).
bubble_chart Preparation and Dosage
On a flat bluestone, first spread 30-60 gm of rosin and 30-60 gm of castor oil on the stone. Use a hammer to crush them. If it's dry, add more castor oil; if it's wet, add more rosin. Gradually mix in the remaining herbs and pound until extremely fine. Apply the mixture to the affected area. For unknown swellings and toxins, mix a small amount of musk into the plaster, and one application will be effective at the onset. If the swelling has already ruptured, add a small amount of asafoetida to relieve pain and promote healing. This plaster should not be exposed to fire; it must be softened by steaming over water before application.
bubble_chart Indications
Innominate swelling pain.
