This product is the black seed of the sesame plant (Sesamum orientale Linn.) from the Sesame family. It is primarily produced in Sichuan, Shandong, Shanxi, Henan, and other regions, as well as in central and southern Taiwan. It is harvested between August and September, with impurities removed and then dried in the sun.
