It refers to wind evil combined with heat. The clinical manifestations include high fever, mild aversion to cold, thirst, red edges and tip of the tongue with slightly yellow coating, floating and rapid pulse, and in severe cases, dry mouth, dry tongue, red eyes, sore throat, and nosebleeds.
