Pathogenic heat obstructing the lungs, leading to the pathology of wheezing and coughing. Main symptoms include fever, cough, thick and yellow phlegm, or blood in the phlegm, severe shortness of breath, chest and rib pain, red edges and tip of the tongue, dry yellow coating, and a rapid or wiry pulse. Commonly seen in conditions such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
