In general, the same disease with the same syndrome is treated with the same method. However, there are cases where the same disease, due to different reactions of the patient's body, presents different "syndromes" (symptoms and signs), and thus requires different treatments. For example, common cold can be classified as wind-cold common cold and wind-heat common cold, and the treatments differ accordingly, such as "releasing the exterior with pungent-warm" and "releasing the exterior with pungent-cool" methods.
