It is a heat sexually transmitted disease commonly seen in the long summer season (the sixth month of the lunar calendar). It occurs due to the obstruction of seasonal dampness-heathexternal pathogens and internal dampness in the intestines and stomach, leading to the development of the disease. Symptoms include a low-grade fever that does not rise, body heaviness and soreness, chest stuffiness, a pale yellow complexion, greasy tongue coating, and a soggy pulse. The characteristic of the disease is its lingering tendency, with a prolonged course, often lingering in the qi aspect, and varying degrees of dampness and heat predominance. If the condition progresses further, it can enter the nutrient and blood levels, leading to convulsions, hematochezia, and other deteriorated pattern. It is commonly seen in diseases such as intestinal cold-damage disease and secondary cold-damage disease.
