The common name is "fighting corn." It refers to the condition where the dark of the eye (pupil) of one or both eyes is relatively deviated towards the canthus side. Some patients may experience symptoms of double vision, requiring them to tilt their gaze in order to see clearly. This condition is often caused by damage to the eye muscles after a serious illness, leading to a loss of coordination in eye movement. It can also sometimes result from trauma.
