A patient with dampness, experiencing bodily vexation and pain, may be treated with Ephedra plus Atractylodes Decoction to induce sweating, which is appropriate. Caution must be taken not to use fire therapy.

The above five ingredients are taken, boiled in nine sheng of water. First boil the Ephedra until reduced by two sheng, remove the foam from the top, then add the other herbs, boil until two and a half sheng remain, strain the dregs, and take eight ge warm. Cover to induce slight sweating.
