- Muscles: pectoralis major, external intercostal membrane, internal intercostal muscle. (Deep layer: lung, left side: heart).
- Nerves: anterior cutaneous branch of the fourth intercostal nerve, deep layer: fourth intercostal nerve.
- Blood vessels: fourth intercostal artery and vein.
Oblique insertion or transverse insertion 0.3～0.5 cun, do not insert deeply. Moxa cone moxibustion 3～5 cones, moxa stick warm moxibustion 5～10 minutes.
Regulates qi, promotes lactation.
- Classical: fullness in the chest and hypochondrium, dyspnea, cough, acute mastitis, insufficient lactation, restlessness, vomiting, lung abscess.
- Modern: cardia spasm, tachycardia, costal chondritis.
- Acute mastitis with chills and fever, shortness of breath and restlessness: Shenfeng (KI23), Yingchuang (ST16).
