Taiyang apoplexy, diarrhea, vomiting, and retching can be treated by resolving the exterior before attacking the interior. The patient experiences profuse sweating that occurs intermittently, headache, a feeling of fullness and hardness in the epigastrium, pain radiating to the hypochondrium, shortness of breath upon vomiting, sweating without aversion to cold. This indicates that the exterior has been resolved but the interior is still unbalanced, belonging to the Ten Jujubes Decoction syndrome.
