In the winter of the 6th year of Zhenguan (632 AD), 'she' was born in Q's mansion, becoming Q's first child. That year was also when Q's business was about to explode, and Q spent most of his time busy with work. 'She' didn't see Q much growing up, mainly being raised by her mother and nannies.
Even though 'she' was a girl, Q's indulgence in 'her' was almost limitless. From a young age, 'she' was given the best nannies, the most nutritious and delicious food, the most beautiful and comfortable clothes, the most luxurious residence, the most outstanding private tutors, and even a personal maid dedicated to 'her' to take care of 'her' daily needs, as if to make up for the shortcomings of his own childhood.
'She' was a bit special from birth. When 'she' started to speak, 'her' first words were often indistinct, sounding like a name rather than "papa" or "mama." Who could it be? Q and his wife looked at each other in confusion when they first heard it, finding it quite strange. Q's wife went to the temple to seek divine guidance, but nothing came of it. After a while, 'she' began to call "papa" and "mama," and Q and his wife stopped dwelling on the matter.
When 'she' was two years old, 'she' would occasionally say something astonishing, like having a brother waiting for 'her', playing happily with 'him', wanting to find 'her' brother, asking where 'her' brother was, and so on. When asked which brother, 'she' couldn't explain clearly. Once, 'she' even cried, saying that 'her' brother held 'her' hand and 'her' stomach hurt, then there was no more.
Q's wife sometimes felt a chill, and several times even invited Buddhist monks to perform rituals at home, not knowing if it was effective. As 'she' grew older, the frequency of 'her' astonishing remarks gradually decreased.

'She' liked to play the zither alone. While playing, sometimes when 'she' was happy, 'she' would suddenly turn to look at the side and want to ask, "Is it nice?" But there was no one there, and then 'she' would feel a sense of loss. What was going on? 'She' asked herself.
'She' liked to brew tea alone in the pavilion at home, enjoying the vast garden scenery. Sometimes unconsciously, 'she' would set an extra teacup, then 'she' would wonder why 'she' set an extra cup. It seemed like 'she' was setting it for someone, but who was it? 'She' couldn't remember at all.
When shopping with 'her' maid, 'she' especially liked stalls selling jewelry, rouge, powder, clothes, and other women's goods. Often, after happily trying on necklaces, hair ornaments, or different styles of clothes, 'she' would turn around and want to ask, "Is it nice?" But seeing 'her' maid behind 'her', 'she' would swallow the words that had almost come out.
'She' liked to make pastries. 'She' taught herself and every pastry was both beautiful and delicious. Besides sharing them with 'her' family, 'she' also liked to brew tea and enjoy pastries alone in the pavilion. Sometimes, 'she' would vaguely feel that 'she' needed to take them to someone, "Hmm? Who?" Everyone who should have received them had, but it seemed like someone was left out? 'She' just couldn't remember.
